Tobetsu Shrine
Monthly red seals designed to match the season are also available.
This shrine has its origins in the settlement of Tobetsu by Kuninao Date of the Sendai clan, who dedicated a small shrine beside a tree commemorating his pioneering work. Since then, the shrine has been dedicated as the general guardian of Tobetsu, and an annual festival is held from August 14 to 16. At the shrine office, in addition to the awarding of owl charms and pet charms, monthly red seals and laughing god red seals with cute designs are available, making it a good place for red seal visits.
