Pyotan Falls
A dynamic waterfall where the clear waters of the Fudanai River cascade down from a height of 10 meters.
This waterfall was created in 1955 when a small power plant was buried by a flood. With the Hidaka Mountains in the background, the beautiful waters of the Tannai River cascade down the waterfall, which can be viewed from the bridge just downstream. There are also tennis courts and a campground in the adjacent Fudanai River Park for family fun. The Hidaka Mountain Range Mountain Center, where visitors can learn about the nature and history of the Hidaka Mountains, is also located within the park, and can be visited freely.
