Taiyo-no-Oka Engaru Park・Cosmos Festa

Enjoy Dynamic Floral Scenery

“Cosmos Festa” Held in early Sep.

Taiyo-no-Oka Engaru Park in eastern Hokkaido is home to one of the largest cosmos gardens in Japan, with a mind-blowing 10 million of flowers in bloom each year. Various, multi-hued species with ambient names blaze across the park’s rolling hills: seashells, yellow cosmos sunrise, akatsuki (dawn), chocolate cosmos, happy ring, and more. From the observation deck, you’ll feel like you’re looking out over a scene from a Studio Ghibli movie; such is the seemingly manufactured beauty of the landscape. From May through Sep., various other flowers will intermittently add to the scenery. This dynamism across the seasons somehow adds to the visual drama of Taiyo-no-Oka Engaru Park, while making it a popular spot for repeat visits.
