Furepe Waterfall
A scenic spot selected as one of the Shiretoko Eight Views.
The waterfall, which flows from a crack in a cliff about 100 meters high into the Sea of Okhotsk, is also known as "Maiden's Tears" because its gentle flow resembles tears. From the observation deck overlooking the waterfall, you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the cliffs below, the vast blue Sea of Okhotsk, and the Shiretoko mountain range. The grasslands along the walking path often offer sightings of Ezo deer and other wildlife, allowing you to observe them up close. It's an easy way to experience nature.
