Cape Notoro
This cape juts out into the Sea of Okhotsk on the east side of Lake Nodori. The area consists of 40-50 meter-high cliffs, with the Sea of Okhotsk to the north and the Shiretoko mountain range in the distance to the east. Around the lighthouse that stands at the tip of the cape, beautiful green grasslands spread out, and the peaceful grazing scenery is soothing. From late January to early March, drift ice usually comes ashore below the cape. It is a spectacular sight to behold.
