Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko Train

Admire Rare Flora and Fauna While Riding the Rails

The “Norokko-go” sightseeing train, which runs leisurely through Kushiro Marsh, will operate from April 27 (Sat.) to October 6 (Sun.) in 2024. The train runs between Kushiro Station and Tangji Station (about 40-50 minutes). From the train window, you can enjoy not only the magnificent scenery of the marshland, but also the meandering Kushiro River, the Iwaiboki Water Gate, and if you are lucky, you can see wild animals. The train traverses through the nature slowly, stopping at Kushiro Marshland Station, Hosooka Station, and other stations. The train may slow down at some of the highlights, and onboard announcements will guide passengers through the marshlands, allowing them to fully enjoy the attractions of the marshlands. In addition, for 10 days from September 21 (Sat.) to 30 (Sun.), the Sunset Norokko-go will be in operation as a special train!
