The final film in the Free and Easy series, which follows Hama-chan, played by Toshiyuki Nishida, and Su-san, played by Rentaro Mikuni. Over a period of 22 years, this series has covered various areas of Japan. This film shines a spotlight on eastern Hokkaido, including Nakashibetsu Town, Shibecha Town, Teshikaga Town, and Akkeshi Town. Hama-chan and Su-san take time off and go for a fishing trip in Hokkaido. As they get down to fishing for local fish such as rainbow, Dolly Varden, and cherry trout, we find out the other reason why Su-san wanted to visit this area. This hit film will have you laughing and crying from start to finish.

Yoroushi Hot Springs
Located around 30km west of the Nakashibetsu town center, this hot spring village is one of eastern Hokkaido's best kept secrets. The Ainu people have reportedly used the spring for around 400 years, and the village that was later built here celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2016. Today, only one facility is still operating, Yuyado Daiichi. This inn's open-air bath offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding wilderness. In the film, the characters hold a rousing dinner with the other guests, and the hot spring has appeared in various other shows too.
