Wave, Listen to Me! (Nami Yo Kiite Kure)

Minare Koda is in her 20s and single, living in Sapporo and working in a soup curry restaurant. By chance, she is tricked by a middle-aged man into appearing on the radio, which leads to her debut as a DJ. As Minare juggles the world of curry with the world of radio, it's clear that the road to true love, happiness, and fun has a lot of bumps. And without further ado, wave, listen to me!

Sapporo Clock Tower

Sapporo Clock Tower

Standing in the center of Sapporo, this clock tower's history dates back over 130 years. Its official name is the Former Military Drill Hall of Sapporo Agricultural College. Sapporo Agricultural College, which eventually became Hokkaido University, was opened in 1876 to train the next members of the Hokkaido Development Commission. The military drill hall was built on the advice of Dr. William Smith Clark, and was used as a central hall for purposes such as military drills and ceremonies. The clock tower was built shortly after the opening of the hall, in 1881. The Sapporo Clock Tower appears in the opening sequence of the anime, setting the scene as a symbolic landmark of Sapporo.
