gla_gla
The studio and gallery of local glassblower Daisuke Takatomi. gla_gla appears in an impactful scene in the film where Rie, the wife, meets glassblower Yoko while looking for a mirror. The store's crystal-clear wares are made by a glassblowing technique called free-blowing. An objet d'art called Nup-same-mem (a name from the language of the indigenous Ainu people) is placed on the terrace so that you can enjoy the melodic clinking of the glass and the beauty of the surrounding nature all at once.
