Shirataki Geoprk
At Shirataki Geopark, you can enjoy learning about the connection with the earth, including Japan’s largest obsidian production area, “Inkarushi”, which is related to Ainu culture, and the cool environment created by wind holes and the history of forestry development. There are many places.
In addition to dishes using local ingredients such as “Engaru Nyokkizu (green asparagus)” and “Shirataki Jyaga (potatoes)” that can be enjoyed depending on the season, there are unique hot springs.
Road side station Engaru Mori no Okhotsk
