OVERVIEW
Kushiro is a town of fog. This one-day tour allows you to experience the fantastic marshland scenery that can be seen there in a relaxed manner by using the Kushiro Shitsugen Norokko-go sightseeing train and marshland canoe. With an airport in the city, this tourist destination is easily accessible for visitors, and is full of contents that can only be enjoyed here, such as seafood, sunsets, and tancho cranes, as well as marshlands.

Transportation to Kushiro meeting place is not included in the tour.

08:15~09:30 Breakfast (WASHO Market)
Experience “Katte bowl culture” of Kushiro, where fishing is very popular.
If you do not like seafood, you can use a restaurant in WASHO Market that serves non-seafood.
10:00-10:45 Akan International Crane Center (GRUS)
Observe and photograph tancho cranes at the Akan International Crane Center. Capture the symbol of Kushiro City, the tancho crane, on your camera.
11:00 – 11:45 Kushiro Marshland Observation Deck
Enjoy a panoramic view of the marshland from above to lift your spirits as you get closer to the marshland.
12:00-13:00 Lunch, assumed to be at a restaurant near Kushiro Station
You will be served fresh seafood barbecue at Robata Brick Kushiro or Spanish cuisine at Bar de la Emi.
You will be able to cook the seafood yourself, so there is no problem for those who do not like raw seafood. Meat can be provided for those who prefer not to eat seafood at all.
For those with a vegan or vegetarian, we will provide alternatives that consist mainly of vegetables and rice, to the extent possible. Bar de la Emi will prepare a special meal that uses homemade bread.

13:35-13:59 Kushiro Marshland Norokko-go No. 4
Kushiro station to Kushiro Shitsugen station
This is a sightseeing train operated by JR Hokkaido. It connects Kushiro Station and Touro Station, the entrance to Kushiro Marsh, and runs through Kushiro Marsh, which is registered as a national park. The train runs at a slow speed of about 40 km/h, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace. If you are lucky, you can see wild animals such as red-crowned cranes and Ezo deer.
14:30-16:30 Canoeing in Marshland by Kushiro Marsh & River
Duration: 2 hours
A canoe guide will pick you up at the station. This course offers the most up-close experience of Kushiro Marsh, and you will experience nature as you float down the calm Kushiro River.
17:00-17:30 Sunset viewing
After canoeing, return to Kushiro Fisherman’s Wharf MOO by private car and enjoy the sunset of Kushiro, one of the world’s three most famous sunsets, on your own.
