OVERVIEW

Shiretoko is Hokkaido’s most famous World Heritage Site. People come to see the wild brown bears and abundant scenic beauty. Shiretoko has remained popular over the years, and a set menu of popular content by local activity providers will be available from 2024. This is a new type of content that only a local guide can offer. With the rapid increase in the number of inbound tourists, even individuals are now able to enjoy the set menus, and the popularity of Shiretoko has continued to increase.

You will enjoy watching brown bears, which represent not only Shiretoko but also Hokkaido. The point is that the encounter rate is an astonishing 80%.
Compared to the past when the cruise was independent of the cruise alone, booking the cruise together with the afternoon trekking will lead to improved customer satisfaction without worrying about time.

Picchio Shiretoko, which offers a wide variety of activities, has taken the helm to make it possible to operate a set menu with a cruise. Trekking tours are conducted in English by local guides who know Shiretoko inside out.
Visitors will experience refreshing trekking in the Shiretoko 5 lakes, where they can enjoy the forest, the sea, the lakes, and the spectacular view of the Shiretoko mountain range all at once, and learn about this new initiative by the operator.
