This tour will take place at Mt. Hakodate, which overlooks the Tsugaru Strait where warm and cold ocean currents meet, and at Nanae Snow Park, where you can take in views of the majestic Mt. Komagatake and the miniature-garden-like Onuma. It will also go to Minamikayabe, a region that produces kelp which has played a role in people’s lives since the Jomon period over 10,000 years ago.
The first day involves snow trekking up Mt. Hakodate, far from the urban hustle and bustle. Follow the ruins of the fortified city toward the glistening white summit. On the second day, you’ll head to Nanae Snow Park, where fields of pristine snow stretch out before you. Taking the gondola lift up to an altitude of 1,000 m, you’ll go snowshoeing through the spectacular scenery near Mt. Komagatake. Experience the luxurious joy of walking through fields of untouched snow. Also, enjoy a lunch made with local ingredients at the Peak Cafe, which offers a breathtaking view.
